When RUNE came out as the first feature film premiering on the iPod, everyone said we were crazy. They told us we had to play in a movie theater to be a "real movie". Well, one year and a month later, a movie is being released and touted as an exclusive iTunes download. Who's crazy now?

Score another one for the indies. If you've seen the RUNE dvd then you know RUNE refused to be rated by the MPAA. Well, the MPAA heard all of us - and they're undergoing their first overhaul in their 38 year history.

College circuit lectures continue for filmmakers Arayna Thomas & S.E. Kenlon. It seems that Rune's groundbreaking distribution method ("straight-to-iPod", in case you hadn't heard) is attracting a lot of industy attention. Film festival panels also are starting to request appearances, but that's still in the works. In the meantime, catch Thomas & Kenlon at your nearest California college by contacting its film department.

Download traffic continues to grow...exciting but also a little burdensome on bandwidth. If you are experiencing slower than usual download time, hop on over to LimeWire and do a search for "rune_movie". It looks like a few people have it up for filesharing, so grab it there.

It's not even noon yet and we're having a great opening day. The down side is that we're having a LOT of traffic, which may mean a slightly longer wait for the movie to download. To help out, the movie is being posted on a few mirror sites today and we'll have links for those ASAP.
